My Best Friend, Part 2

A few weeks ago I started going through our wedding cards for a project I was working on.  It was so fun to read some of the sweet and encouraging messages that our friends and family wrote to us as we were starting our life together.  (And I found a gift card that we had overlooked, score!)

Some of the experiences we've had in the past two years have really packed a punch (living away from each other for a summer, practice court, my mom's illness and death, moving away from family and friends just as our first baby was born ... you get the idea) and it was good for me to me reminded of just how ... newlywed... we were before some of these things happened.  It reminded me about the kind of wife I want to be and the kind of wife that Luke deserves.  I find myself being tired, overwhelmed, and grumpy way too often these days.  Even though hard things happen, I want to choose differently.  Because I got a good life, friends.  I got a good life.

We totally found a stash of gift cards like a year after we were married that we had lost in a file. Totally a score feeling!!
