We went to Washington for Thanksgiving and had an awesome time. It was the first time since our wedding that all of Luke's siblings had been together, and the first time ever that we had all been together with the kids.
There was plenty of hanging out:
| Grandma Mott with Ava, Seth with Zander, Emi, Lindsay, and Keiko |
| Luke and Seth with each other's baby boys... |
| and with their own. |
| playing games one night |
| Grandpa Mott with Liam |
| Seth with Liam and Zander |
| Hanging out in the morning... |
| and hanging out all day long. |
There was plenty of football and playing outside:
| Luke likes his dad's face in this one. |
| Arianne, Meg, and Seth with some of the kids |
| Grandpa getting tackled |
| This is Addie. During our trip, one of the only things we had scheduled was to have family pictures taken. Addie was NOT interested in cooperating that day, but the photographer was amazing and managed to get all of the kids, including Addie giggling and having a good time. Then later, the truth came out. Addie said, "So I was thinking ... if I didn't smile, maybe she would tickle me." Brilliant. |
And of course Thanksgiving, which was delicious:
Liam was an all-star with his first flights, slept for a lot of them, and didn't seem to have any trouble. On the way back we took this video of the ticklish, giggly little man:
